HIGHLIGHTS:

Annapurna range is the most exquisite, with some of the world’s highest mountain views, including Annapurna I (8,091 m, / 10th highest). While the foothills are dominated by diverse ethnic groups with their charming villages and terraced farms, the higher reaches are pristine, as proved only by shepherds. We will come across several viewpoints with world-famous Himalayan views. Trekking is the best insight into the Nepalese mountain lifestyle, ethnic diversity, and moderate adventure in the Himalayas.

Our trek starts at Kimche, after a 2-hour drive from Pokhara. We follow a trail that takes us through dense rhododendron and bamboo forests, stunning terraced fields, and suspension bridges to the traditional Gurung villages until we reach Ghandruk, our destination for the first day.

On the second day, we will be walking through the lush forests and grass pastures that slowly fade and turn to rocky passes and cliffs until we reach Chomrong. On the way to Chomrong, you can enjoy the views of the Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (fishtail).

We leave Chomrong the next day and head to the Himalayas. You will now notice that your path is gradually ascending as it passes through more rhododendrons and bamboo forests.

On your fourth day, you will reach Annapurna Base Camp (4130m / 13,550ft), and you will pass Machhapuchhre Base Camp as well. The path to Annapurna Base Camp follows the Modi Khola Glacier Valley. From the Annapurna Base Camp, you get overall views of Hiunchuli, and Annapurna ranges, including Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545 ft), Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre. We will be staying at Annapurna Base Camp itself for the night.

After spending a night at the Annapurna Base Camp, the descent starts, and it stops at Bamboo on the fifth day of the trek. The following morning, we leave Bamboo and head to Jhinu Danda. Once we reach Jhinu Danda, we will be relaxing in the nearby natural hot springs.

On the last day of the trek, we will trek from Jhinu Danda to Sinuwa / Ghandruk Phedi, and from there, we will take a drive to Pokhara.
