ITINERARY:

Day 1: Kathmandu (1324m) to Lukla (2860m) by flight, Trek to Phakding (2651m)

Duration: 35 minutes flight
Duration: Approx. 3 to 4 hours walk

Begin your adventure with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a trek to Phakding. The path follows the Dudh Koshi River, passing through small Sherpa villages and lush forests.

Day 2: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Duration: Approx. 5 to 6 hours walk

Today’s trek takes you through beautiful forests of pine and fir, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll gain altitude gradually, leading to the bustling market town of Namche Bazaar, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Enjoy an acclimatization day in Namche. Take short walks around the town to help your body adjust to the increasing altitude. You can also explore the Namche Bazaar Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

Day 4: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3956m)

Duration: Approx. 6 hours walk

Trek through a forest of rhododendrons and juniper trees to the famous Tengboche Monastery, offering stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and the majestic Ama Dablam.

Day 5: Tengboche to Dingboche (4380m)

Duration: Approx. 6 hours walk

Today’s trek will take you along the Dudh Koshi River before climbing up to Dingboche. The route offers incredible views of Everest, Lhotse, and the surrounding peaks.

Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4380m)

Spend the day acclimatizing in Dingboche. Explore the village, enjoy the views, and take a short hike to a viewpoint for better acclimatization to prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.

Day 7: Dingboche to Lobuche (4938)

Duration:  Approx. 6 to 7 hours walk

The trail leads to Lobuche, passing through the Thukla Pass, marked by memorials for climbers who have died on Everest expeditions. The views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks are breathtaking.

Day 8: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5160m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m), Return to Gorakshep

Duration: Approx. 6 to 8 hours walk

Trek to Gorakshep, then continue to Everest Base Camp, the highlight of your trek. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Khumbu Icefall, and take a moment to savor the achievement before returning to Gorakshep.

Day 9: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5550m) to Dzongla (4830m)

Duration: Approx. 6 hours walk

Begin early for a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar for the best views of Mount Everest. Afterward, descend to Dzongla, a small village nestled in the mountains, for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Dzongla to Thagnak (4700m) via Cho La Pass (

Duration:  Approx. 9-10 hours walk

Today is a challenging day as you cross the Cho La Pass, one of the highest points of the trek. The panoramic views are spectacular, and the descent to Thagnak offers a sense of accomplishment.

Day 11: Thagnak to Gokyo (4790m)

Duration: Approx. 6 hours walk

Trek to Gokyo, a stunning village located by the Gokyo Lakes. The route offers breathtaking views of Mount Cho Oyu and the surrounding peaks.

Day 12: Acclimatization and Exploration in Gokyo

Duration:  Approx. 4 hours walk

Today, hike to Gokyo Ri for panoramic views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. Spend the day exploring the lakes and the surrounding area.

Day 13: Gokyo to Dole (4200m)

Duration: Approx. 7 hours walk

Descend from Gokyo to Dole, passing through yak herders’ huts and lush forests, with views of the snowy peaks along the way.

Day 14: Dole to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Duration:  Approx. 5 hours walk

Today’s trek brings you back to Namche Bazaar, following the same route you took on your way up. Enjoy the familiar sights as you retrace your steps.

Day 15: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2860m)

Duration: Approx. 6 to 7 hours walk

Descend to Lukla, where you’ll celebrate completing the trek. Enjoy a final night in the bustling town of Lukla before returning to Kathmandu.

Day 16: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Duration: 35 minutes flight

After a morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla, conclude your unforgettable journey to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes.
